Bali, October 24, 2025 — PT IAS Support Indonesia (IAS Support) participated in the InJourney Green Phase II Program as part of Group InJourney's commitment to sustainability principles, particularly environmental sustainability. The activity focused on greening efforts through the planting of 2,800 mangrove trees in the Benoa Bay area, Bali.
The InJourney Green Phase II Program is a strategic initiative by Group InJourney to make concrete contributions to environmental conservation through mangrove ecosystem restoration. This mass planting involved all Group InJourney business entities, including IAS Support, to strengthen the resilience of Bali's coastal ecosystem, which holds high ecological and economic value.
Four Strategic Mangrove Greening Objectives
The program has four interconnected environmental objectives with long-term impact. First, absorbing CO₂ and maintaining air quality through mangroves' capacity as a natural carbon sink effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions from human activities and air transportation.
Second, preventing flooding and reducing landslide risks by strengthening mangrove root systems that function as natural barriers against high tides, rainwater runoff, and coastal soil erosion.
Third, reducing carbon emissions (carbon offset) through mangroves' contribution to the global carbon cycle, supporting Indonesia's net zero emission targets while strengthening Group InJourney's reputation as a sustainable business player.
Fourth, preventing coastal abrasion through natural protection provided by mangroves to shorelines, maintaining the stability of the Benoa Bay ecosystem as a strategic area for Bali's tourism and aviation sectors.
Contribution to Environmental Sustainability
The planting of 2,800 mangrove trees in Benoa Bay is part of Group InJourney's long-term target to restore coastal ecosystems across all airport operational areas. Benoa Bay mangroves were selected due to their crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance supporting Bali's tourism as a global destination.
This activity aligns with Group InJourney's commitment to integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles into all aspects of business operations. The InJourney Green Program extends beyond planting to include growth monitoring, maintenance, and periodic environmental impact reporting.
As part of the Group InJourney ecosystem, PT IAS Support Indonesia continues to strengthen its role in supporting sustainability initiatives through active participation in strategic environmental programs. InJourney Green Phase II manifests the "Serving Wholeheartedly" commitment not only to customers but also to the planet and future generations.
