Pontianak, 9 June 2026 - PT IAS Support Indonesia, or IAS Support, fully supported the P4GN Socialization, Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, as well as Early Detection of Drug Abuse in the Workplace, organized by Angkasa Pura Indonesia at Supadio International Airport.
This activity was part of an effort to strengthen the capacity of Aviation Security (AVSEC), and or personnel managing security, order, and service integrity within the airport environment. As the frontline of aviation security, AVSEC personnel need to have an adequate understanding of various potential risks, including the threat of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking in the air transportation sector.
The socialization featured the Head of the National Narcotics Agency, or BNN, of Kubu Raya Regency, AKBP Alber Manurung, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., as the main speaker. The activity was also supported by the Chief of Supadio Airport Police Sector and attended by AVSEC personnel, both those off duty and those who had completed their shifts, representatives from other work units, representatives of InJourney Airports, and stakeholders within Supadio International Airport.
During the activity, participants received information on the dangers of drug abuse, modes of illicit drug trafficking, and the introduction of various types of narcotics and new psychoactive substances. Understanding new types of drugs is important as patterns of drug abuse and trafficking continue to evolve, including through increasingly diverse forms, packaging, and methods.
Through this material, AVSEC personnel are expected to develop a stronger awareness of recognizing the potential risks in the workplace. Early detection is an important element in preventing drug abuse, maintaining the quality of human resources, and ensuring that airport security services operate in accordance with safety, security, and compliance standards.
IAS Support believes that strengthening AVSEC is not limited to technical capability in carrying out security procedures. It also requires mental readiness, integrity, and awareness of threats that may disrupt airport operations. Therefore, the involvement of AVSEC personnel in this socialization serves as an important step in strengthening a work culture that is clean, safe, disciplined, and free from drug abuse.
As a company engaged in integrated area support services, IAS Support views airport security as a shared responsibility that requires synergy across stakeholders. The company’s support for this activity reflects its commitment to strengthening personnel professionalism while supporting the government’s program on the prevention and eradication of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking.
This activity also reflected the synergy between Angkasa Pura Indonesia, BNN Kubu Raya Regency, the police, IAS Support, and other stakeholders in building a safe, healthy, and integrity-driven airport work environment. This collaboration is expected to continue through educational programs, socialization activities, and prevention efforts that are relevant to airport operational needs.
BNN Kubu Raya Regency expressed appreciation for the implementation of this activity and welcomed future cooperation and collaboration opportunities to increase awareness, vigilance, and prevention of drug abuse in the workplace.
The socialization activity ran smoothly and received a positive response from all participants. Participant enthusiasm was spotted by active engagement during the presentation and discussion sessions, particularly on prevention measures, risk identification, and the importance of maintaining a drug-free work environment.
Moving forward, IAS Support will continue to support educational programs and collaborations that strengthen the competence, integrity, and vigilance of AVSEC personnel across its operational areas. With the spirit of Melayani Sepenuh Hati, Memberi Layanan Pasti, IAS Support is committed to supporting safe, professional, and trusted airport services.
